Kelly Services Tooling Manager in Woodstock, Canada

Our client, located in Woodstock, has an immediate opening for a permanent, full time permanent Tooling Manager. The ideal candidate has previous experience managing in the tooling trade. If you are looking to work for an innovative and forward-thinking organization please consider the following:

Job Requirements:

  • Ensure compliance to Safety Policies and Practices

  • Coordinate shift activities, manpower, & personnel schedules

  • Enter into ShopEdge all Production data accurately and efficiently

  • Produce & assist in implementing the area's process production documents, process tracking, and investigation reports

  • Conduct walk-thru's for confirmation of Associates adherence to daily activities

  • Track Associate training & ensure that all associates maintain the expected level of training on required documents, procedures, and processes

  • Hourly review of Production Lean Boards

  • Write & follow-up on Work Orders as needed for repairs in assigned area

  • Ensure work orders are submitted for items needing repair in your area

  • Review and issue die set-up sheets as updated by Team Leaders and Associates

  • Demonstrate a positive attitude/outlook

  • Capable of lifting 50 pounds

  • Work non-routine hours as required to maintain production schedule compliance


  • College, university graduate or equivalent trade experience

  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and facilitation skill sets

  • 5+ years’ experience in new build tooling industry with experience with progressive and transfer dies and weld assembly processes

  • Towmotor experience lifting dies and heavy loads

  • 3+ years of supervisory experience

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office word and excel

  • Effective analytical, planning, and organizational skills
