Technology Support Specialist – Job Description

Reporting Line: Chief Information Officer

Under general supervision of the Chief Information Officer, provide support for personnel, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of technical systems. Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair computing systems, including hardware and software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the planning, organization, and implementation of activities related to the installation, and maintenance of computer hardware, software, local networks, mobile devices, and various other equipment.

  • Prioritize and schedule requests for technical support services, ensuring user needs are met and technical support issues are resolved in a timely manner.

  • Provide technical assistance on using computers, tablets, software programs, and other electronic equipment.

  • Serve as a technical resource to all users, providing assistance in trouble shooting software, hardware, and network issues.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Experience and Skills Requirements:

  • Requires a degree from an accredited educational institution, or computer training institute, or equivalent work experience.

  • Experience performing repair and preventative maintenance on computer systems, and software.

  • Experience managing groups of users and devices in a wired and wireless networked environment preferred.

  • Be self-motivated and work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Maintain good working relations with all levels of personnel.

  • Have great interpersonal skills.

  • Experience in independent and team-based work.
