Job Description

Kelly Services is seeking to hire an administrative assistant at a high-end school in Washington, DC!

Our client is seeking an assistant who will uphold the growing prestige of the school in order to attract the BEST students and families to attend. The assistant will need to have experience serving as an administrative assistant.


Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to greet families and set a first impression

commensurate with the strength of our program.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

  • A willingness to accept and adapt to 'duties as assigned' due to the nature of the expanding

organization and responsibilities to other divisions aside from the EMC group

  • Detail-oriented approach with exceptional organizational and time management skills

  • Experience and skill with computer technology including database mgmt., Excel and Word

  • Ability to work independently without close supervision

  • Willingness and ability to work evenings and weekends

  • Experience working in education is a plus

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage walk-in requests and provide primary reception desk coverage including telephone


  • Co-captain administrative support for various special events (smaller meetings to larger events

such as Information Sessions and Open Houses)

  • Support EMC staff as needed

  • Attend PR, Social Media and Marketing weekly meeting as notetaker

  • Provide logistical support for misc. marketing and communications initiatives

  • Data entry responsibilities within customer relations management database

  • Attend Administrative Assistants meetings as needed

  • Coordinate office supplies and serve as liaison to third party providers

  • Manage kitchen area and overall appearance of office

  • Provide logistical support for visiting staff

  • Serve as administrative support to school leadership team until staffing increases

  • Manage logistics for in-person and online group meetings and faculty interviews

  • Attend school staff meetings as notetaker

A Bachelor's degree is preferred. This requirements can be waived for commensurate experience.
