Job Description

  • Preparation and analysis of financial statements

  • Inventory costing

  • Budget preparation

  • Accounting and financial reporting

  • Cash management

  • Monthly closing

  • Outside audit preparation

  • Staff development

  • Work directly across departments in areas of inventory, reporting, tax and other accounting responsibilities

  • Record accounting accruals and transactions

  • Update Changes in Debt

  • Update changes in Financial Reporting

  • Monitor the payroll system and staff

  • Handle Multiple requests & projects simultaneously for different departments and people with different needs and priorities

  • Identify key errors in data and transactions

  • Aid in any assigned activities of the Corporate Accounting Department for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly financial statements, and annual audits and annual budgets

  • Assure corporate income tax compliance to assure the accurate and timely completion of all corporate income tax returns taking full advantage of all favorable tax codes

  • Establish and maintain systems and controls which verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data, and enhance the Company's value

  • Communicate with co-workers, management, clients, franchisees, and others in a courteous and professional manner.

  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.

  • Conform with all safety rules and use all appropriate safety equipment.

  • Assumes responsibility for own personal development and continuous learning.

  • Practices customer intimacy with internal and external customers in day to day responsibilities

  • Keeps abreast on new technology, methods and regulations related to responsibilities

Requirements

BS Accounting

  • Knowledge of GAAP

  • Financial Account Standards

  • IRS Tax Code

  • Auditing Standards

  • Double Entry accounting

  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Access

  • Project Management skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Analytical capabilities

  • Excellent Problem-Solving Skills

  • Experience with financial report preparation

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and produce results with minimum direction - Business process understanding and mapping experience

  • Strong research, spreadsheet and analytical skills - mastery of MS Excel and Access or another database program

Auditing experience, financial and tax reporting experience; 4-6 years of Relevant Experience

Ability to regularly function in a typical office environment and operate related equipment - computer, copier, telephone, etc., as well as, low risk manufacturing environment - able to observe and get around equipment, using PPE, if required.

Ability to occasionally travel by plane, car or other ground transportation, as needed.
