On Behalf our client, we are looking for a talented eCommerce Software Developer to be responsible for building and maintaining features on recently launched website hosted on Magento’s Enterprise Cloud platform. This is a unique opportunity to be part of an exciting and growing team tasked with creating an industry leading online experience.
Duties & Responsibilities
Customize Magento 2 by building custom modules while following Magento standards
Provide technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new initiatives to support and enhance our digital experience
Work with the Product Manager to create technical specifications and build mock-ups of proposed solutions
Embrace a culture of continuous improvement and A/B testing
Assess and implement new technologies and frameworks
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Experience with Magento both front-end and backend – preferably Enterprise edition
Experience with PHP, MySQL and Linux
Experience in the development and implementation of standards, procedures and guidelines to support operational processes
Ability to work with REST APIs, SOAP Web services, XML and JSON
Good working knowledge of database design
Experience with transactional websites and payment technologies
Experience with Cloud Services - preferably AWS with Magento Enterprise Cloud
Familiarity with the Symfony2 Framework, Apache and Nginx (desired but not required)
Familiar with Varnish cache and Fastly (desired but not required)
Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Testing (desired but not required)
Familiar with Akeneo Product Information Management system (desired but not required)
Experience and Credentials
5+ years of web programming experience, preferably eCommerce related
A post-secondary degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
