Kelly Services Engineering Project Manager in Tacoma, Washington
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as primary point of contact for customers during life of project including communicating and coordinating project dependencies while setting and managing expectations.
Coordinate efforts of cross-functional project team including sales, engineering, purchasing and production to meet project objectives.
Coordinate tasks and resources across multiple, simultaneous projects through the entire project lifecycle.
Proactively manage risks, contract changes, and communication with both internal and external project stakeholders.
Strengthen business relationships with customers by driving superior customer satisfaction.
Prepare and review project deliverables ensuring internal project documentation is complete.
Provide technical leadership during project execution.
Manage commercial aspects of the project, including commercial terms, payments, and change orders.
Manage project cost, schedule, and quality.
Support engineering and field service teams during installation, startup, and commissioning as required, including site management when necessary.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or applicable experience preferred.
Related experience in manufacturing or project management required.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD 2012 or other CAD software and Microsoft Office required.
Inventor 2012 or SolidWorks and MS Project desired.
Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, motion and control components required.
Ability to read CAD drawings, hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams and/or electrical schematics required.
Proven experience designing mechanical equipment strongly preferred.
Specialization in one or more specific fields of mechanical engineering such as hydraulics, controls, electro-mechanics or similar preferred.
Ability to successfully collaborate with engineers, vendors, and customers required.
Demonstrated knowledge of panel handling, wood products or pulp and paper equipment desired.
Proven track record of being self-motivated, working with minimal supervision, and leading and partnering with diverse team members required.
Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently, retain a sense of urgency and meet strict timelines required.
Conduct oneself with the highest level of professionalism and ethical standards.
