Kelly Services Engineering Project Manager in Tacoma, Washington

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as primary point of contact for customers during life of project including communicating and coordinating project dependencies while setting and managing expectations.

  • Coordinate efforts of cross-functional project team including sales, engineering, purchasing and production to meet project objectives.

  • Coordinate tasks and resources across multiple, simultaneous projects through the entire project lifecycle.

  • Proactively manage risks, contract changes, and communication with both internal and external project stakeholders.

  • Strengthen business relationships with customers by driving superior customer satisfaction.

  • Prepare and review project deliverables ensuring internal project documentation is complete.

  • Provide technical leadership during project execution.

  • Manage commercial aspects of the project, including commercial terms, payments, and change orders.

  • Manage project cost, schedule, and quality.

  • Support engineering and field service teams during installation, startup, and commissioning as required, including site management when necessary.

  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or applicable experience preferred.

  • Related experience in manufacturing or project management required.

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD 2012 or other CAD software and Microsoft Office required.

  • Inventor 2012 or SolidWorks and MS Project desired.

  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, motion and control components required.

  • Ability to read CAD drawings, hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams and/or electrical schematics required.

  • Proven experience designing mechanical equipment strongly preferred.

  • Specialization in one or more specific fields of mechanical engineering such as hydraulics, controls, electro-mechanics or similar preferred.

  • Ability to successfully collaborate with engineers, vendors, and customers required.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of panel handling, wood products or pulp and paper equipment desired.

  • Proven track record of being self-motivated, working with minimal supervision, and leading and partnering with diverse team members required.

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently, retain a sense of urgency and meet strict timelines required.

  • Conduct oneself with the highest level of professionalism and ethical standards.
