Job Description

We are now hiring an Administrative Assistant / Clerical / Receptionist professional for one of the leading manufacturers in the Somerset, PA area. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, working from 08:00 am - 4:30 pm. Candidates must be able to demonstrate at least two years of administrative / clerical experience in an office setting.

Summary of Position:

The Receptionist answers and accurately directs phone calls, greets customers and visitors, and provides general office support as requested. This position offers a great work environment and the possibility of advancement.

Duties and Responsibilities

Provide general administrative and clerical support; perform basic bookkeeping, filing, and secretarial duties

Ensure a tidy and presentable reception/lobby area, replacing brochures, clearing clutter and maintain control of lobby television and greeting board

Ensure conference room is prepped for customers

Answer, screen and forward phone calls/messages; switchboard operation

Answer inquiries courteously and professionally; or direct inquiry to person best able to answer

Greet and direct visitors in a friendly and positive manner. Quickly notify persons being visited

Maintain security by following procedures and monitoring visitor sign-in log

Obtain ITAR forms for ADM visitors

Handle inquiries from customers and the public in a professional and courteous manner; in person, on the telephone or via e-mail

Sort, open, separate and distribute daily mail and packages accurately for office personnel

Receive job resumes and applications, direct them to Human Resources

Maintain quote database for OSHA compliance

Schedule and/or receive any Fed Ex or UPS shipments

Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of kitchenette area and kitchen supplies

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Proven secretarial or administrative experience

Ability to multi-task, prioritize, organize and plan

Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail

Reliable and punctual

Customer service orientation
