Kelly Services Research Associate - T-Cell Characterization in Seattle, Washington

Kelly Scientific is currently recruiting for a Research Associate to work as part of T cell Product Characterization to work at a quickly growing, innovative therapeutics company in Seattle, WA. This Research Associate to be a key member of a team that develops and implements T cell characterization strategies that enable clinical development of gene-engineered T cells. This is a temporary position that will go through the rest of the year.


  • Execute experiments to interrogate the phenotype and function of gene-modified T cell drug products from experimental and clinical manufacturing processes.

  • This is a lab-focused role that will require independence in experimental design, execution and data analysis. The Research Associate will generate data to support process development programs and clinical trials.

  • Emphasis on hands-on participation in the lab conducting flow cytometry, cell-based immunoassays, and next-generation cell interrogation techniques.

  • Partner with senior staff and project leads to design and execute experiments, and graph data.

  • Support lab infrastructure, including sample management, maintaining reagent inventories, and data management.

  • Perform literature review to identify novel analytical approaches for interrogating T cell function.

  • Participation in both independent and collaborative environments across research, process development, and clinical development teams. Present data to cross-functional groups within Juno.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively and work well in a highly matrixed team environment, with flexibility to navigate dynamic project goals.


  • Bachelor’s degree with 0-3 years of experience in the field of Immunology, Cell Biology, or Cancer Biology, preferably in an industry setting. Must have familiarity with molecular and cellular immunology concepts and techniques.

  • Demonstrated competency in tissue culture, flow cytometry, multiplex ELISA assays, and in vitro T cell functional assays

  • Experience with nucleic acid extraction

  • Working knowledge of various data analysis and visualization tools (JMP, R, Spotfire, Prism, etc.), as well as flow cytometry analysis software (FlowJo, FACSDiva, etc.).
