Kelly Services Quality Control Technician in Scotts Valley, California

Job Description

Purpose: The primary function of this position is to inspect and qualify outgoing product. This position is responsible for

assisting the Quality Manager in the application and evaluation of approved product inspection techniques and for various tasks

associated with maintaining the Quality System. This position works directly with and receives direction from the Quality

Manager. The QC Technician may perform related tasks such as preparation of documentation and product packaging.

Essential Duties and Functions:

Other related duties may be assigned.

  1. Inspect optical products and verify conformance to specification

  2. Document inspection results and maintain all applicable records

  3. Create Certificates of Compliance and similar certifications as required

  4. Perform in-process quality checks as directed.

  5. Apply vinyl to parts and assemblies as required.

  6. Package product for shipment as time allows

  7. Perform specialized testing and evaluations per procedure

  8. Perform Environmental Testing

  9. Prioritize daily tasks based on current workload and the Ship Today list

  10. Complete Route Sheet documentation

  11. Verify internal documentation of requirements matches customer documentation

  12. Perform internal audits

  13. Provide training and feedback to line personnel on specific subjects

  14. Perform incoming inspection on raw materials as required

Ability to read and interrupt quality plans and execute test and inspections accordingly

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

Knowledge of quality tools/equipment, principles, and methodologies

Detail oriented and can accurately review data and document problem resolutions

Ability to read, understand and follow detailed instructions that involve multiple steps and quality equipment

Working knowledge of ISO-9001 standards for quality control

Knowledge of root cause analysis and corrective action

Working knowledge of customer requirements and expectations

Strong team player who is able to interface with a variety of groups

Strong computer skills

Working knowledge of military inspection standards and similar requirements

Ability to use a microscope and other technical equipment

Minimum Qualifications (including Education):

High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent

Minimum of 2 years previous quality experience in a manufacturing environment
