Kelly IT Resources is working directly with the CTO of an incredibly exciting, revolutionary pioneer in the drone industry!! They are a fast-growing, early stage start up that designs, develops, and builds specialized drones! With new clients and partnerships forming daily, we have been asked to help them find and hire a passionate Field Network Engineer to work these exciting front lines of their technology and product. They are hoping to bring on board a junior-level professional that will help shape the technology that will in the end, power their flying robots!! They have an amazing shop with all the tools any maker would want to own--just an amazing and fulfilling opportunity! The company will consider a consultant to work immediately for them directly, or in some cases, may consider contract to hire as well.
Jr. Field Network Engineer Responsibilities:
Provide information technology (IT) support for field-deployable IT equipment
Travel to customer outdoor field deployment sites for setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of field-deployed equipment a
Handle daily “tier one” support requests from end users and generate bugs/tickets.
Organize daily support bugs/tickets and finish them on time.
Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, software updates and resource optimization as required. Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required.
Troubleshooting malfunctions of network hardware and software applications, sensors and camera systems to resolve operational issues and restore services.
Perform daily routine checking on remote sensors, servers and services.
Take on call role to provide support to end users.
Jr. Field Network Engineer Requirements:
Ability to travel anywhere within the continental United States on short notice.
Ability to carry heavy equipment (less than 50 lbs.) outdoors up to one mile over uneven terrain during inclement weather.
Familiar with Microsoft Windows and Linux environment which includes setup and maintenance.
Practical knowledge of TCP/IP, VPN, RDP, and other network protocols.
Familiar with business-level router configuration.
Entry-level troubleshooting skills in fixing computer hardware and software issues.
Remote monitoring tool experience like Remote Desktop, SSH, teamviewer.
Willingness to learn and help others.
