Kelly Services Financial Analyst in San Francisco, California
Our client, a non-profit health insurance company, is currently seeking a Financial Analyst Associate for a contract to hire position. The position is located in San Francisco, CA.

The hours for this position are as follows:
Monday to Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
Pay Rate is up to $38.47 per hour W2
Your responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
Build annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, including advising budget owners on resource allocation, balancing budget needs and meeting targets.
Perform monthly financial reporting, variance analysis (e.g. headcount reconciliation and labor expense analysis), and presentation.
Build and maintain financial models for staffing and vendor fee projections.
Proactively identify and analyze business drivers and cost trends.
Alert management on budget risks and recommend solutions.
Investigate variances and submit Accounting reclasses and accruals when appropriate.
Provide business partnership to the business units and develop and manage/nurture relationships. Advise business partners on Accounting, regulatory and Medical Loss Ratio (MLR) guidelines.
Experience with Access and Oracle Fusion, Hyperion Planning and Essbase a plus
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trusting relationships
Team player who enjoys collaborating with other individuals who possess diverse set of talents
Ability to explain finance concepts and concisely communicate key themes
Effectively plan, organize and prioritize work
Experience in and strong ability to turn data into actionable insights
Enjoys learning new things and possesses strong ability to obtain and process information
Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in PowerPoint
Requires a Bachelor’s degree preferably in finance, math, health care or a business field with 4-7 years of financial analysis and business decision support experience. A Master’s degree a plus with 2 – 5 years financial analysis and business decision support experience. Must have in-depth knowledge and application of financial analysis principles, concepts and standards. Prior healthcare experience preferred.
