Kelly Services Quality Inspector in Salt Lake City, Utah
Kelly Services is currently looking to hire a Quality Inspector with 3-5 years of Medical device and/or Pharmaceutical inspection experience.
Position will be located in Salt Lake City, UT
Important information: This position is recruited for by a remote Kelly office, not your local Kelly branch. Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Perform higher-level inspection services with minimal instruction including those associated with first article inspection, process test and validation.
Communicate issues arising from daily builds and field reports that should be reviewed by a supervisor or engineer and being able to prioritize multiple tasks.
The inspection of in-house and vendor purchased products, raw material and services.
Inspection of packaging and labeling materials used for medical devices.
Perform DHR review and “Release to Branch Plant” function including document verification and recording incoming inspection inventory.
Inspects incoming, in process and finished products and material for visual, mechanical, and dimensional characteristics, using inspection sheets and applicable sampling plans.
Responsible for ensuring company products are in compliance with internal and external specifications by performing a variety of routine and non-routine inspections and evaluations.
Perform varied product inspections, generally of finished goods, components, incoming materials or new products, by observing, measuring and recording data.
Compare inspection results to defined requirements or specifications and documents differences found.
Accepts or rejects items based on established guidelines.
Consult with more experienced personnel to determine which products can be reworked.
Compiles data and documents findings.
Provide information regarding rework/reject data to more experienced personnel for validation and inclusion with production reports.
Participate in discussions with other departments regarding quality standards.
Inspects workmanship for defects and notifies appropriate department personnel of suspected problems.
Investigate proper disposition of defective products.
Verify planned actions are correct before implementing.
Manage Calibration Program.
Perform Final Lot Release.
Initiate Change Orders.
3-5 years Medical devices/ Pharmaceutical inspection experience preferred, ISO 13485 & FDA Experience is a plus.
High level of concentration and attention to detail required ensuring products are properly labeled and packaged according to internal quality requirements
Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Proficient in the use of measuring instruments in Quality Assurance
