  • Title: Payroll Processor

  • Duration: 3 month – temp to hire

  • Location: Philadelphia, PA

Job Summary:

Primary responsibilities are to process required pay adjustments associated with short-term disability, statutory benefits, return to work and intermittent FMLA. Processor will determine when pay adjustments are needed, calculate what should have been paid versus what was paid and implement corrective action including reclassification of earnings, off-cycle payments and overpayment recovery.


  • Maintains employee pay impacted by employment status changes resulting from leave of absence, exhaustion of 100% short term disability and drop to 60% pay and return to work

  • Support payroll processing activities including adjustments to regular earnings and leave related accumulators

  • Updates payroll records to maintain appropriate earnings balances

  • Determines need for and calculates/produces off-cycle checks and reversals

  • Dock pay for employees who take intermittent leave and elect to not apply PTO

  • Identify overpayments and implement appropriate recovery method for active and terminated employees

  • Effectively collaborates with Benefits staff and Third Party Administrators


  • 2 – 4 years payroll processing experience

  • Bachelor degree in accounting, finance, or related field

  • Ability to analyze and interpret payroll data

  • Detail oriented and highly proficient in Excel

  • Experience in PeopleSoft HRMS and ADP Enterprise Payroll Version 3 and up preferred
