POSITION TITLE: Maintenance Manager
Equipment Maintenance Managers role and primary function is to provide leadership, training to district maintenance team and to provide support to the District Operations management team. Other primary functions are to ensure that safe reliable equipment is provided to operations while monitoring and maintaining monthly budget goals. produce, maintain and compile comprehensive reports related to data analysis, failure trends, equipment performance and solution proposals to address any job problems.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent
10+ years of experience
5+ years in a leadership role
Extensive experience in Equipment and Component Maintenance, including supervisory experience.
Strong attention to detail
Ability to think on feet and adapt to situations
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to multi-task in a high paced working environment.
Previous high pressure pumping field experience.
Proven experience with electronics, hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatic systems.
Demonstrated understanding of projects from the perspective of both client and business.
Flexible and willing to accept a change in priorities as necessary
Proficient in the operation, setup and calibration of multiple types of stimulation equipment..
Proven skills in process and operations analysis.
Demonstrated self-motivation, ability to work alone and ethical behavior including professionalism and respect.
CRITICAL TASKS / PERFORMANCE GOALS:
Provide leadership to the Maintenance team for the purpose of delivering safe reliable equipment to operations.
Ensures equipment is maintained to the highest standards while monitoring and maintaining Monthly Budget goals
Sustain and improve the performance of existing equipment.
Clearly and regularly communicate with management and technical support colleagues
Assist with testing and tracking of new components during field trials to ensure strong functionality and optimization.
Recommend improvements to existing equipment and components as necessary.
Present ideas for system improvements, including cost proposals.
Working closely with analysts, designers and staff.
Analyze equipment operational issues, investigate and propose solutions.
Identify, investigate and provide feedback on potential design/engineering improvements or reconfiguration.
Support the Corporate Operations Support group in maintaining consistency across the business units on the BJ Services maintenance program.
Complete appropriate documentation compiling records, reports, issue logs, hydraulic, mechanical and electrical drawings throughout the life of the equipment.
Act as liaison between departments to ensure jobs and job results are communicated and issues are investigated and addressed.
Preparation of training material for users.
Enforce Health and Safety standards at all time.
Address all equipment issues and work with key stakeholders
Maintain Monthly Reports for Senior Management with progress within the department.
Training key personnel.
Provide input during selection and/or hiring process of technical staff.
Mentors, trains and coaches, Supervisors and Lead Mechanics.
WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the environment is moderate to loud.
