Kelly Services Inventory Control Specialist in New Hamburg, Canada

Our client, a growing business in New Hamburg, Ontario, has an immediate permanent full time opening for an Inventory Control Specialist.

This position is responsible for reconciling and maintaining accurate records of raw materials and finished goods inventory necessary to carry out manufacturing activities and to meet sales requirements. Inventory control measures are employed to ensure the company minimizes stock holding while maximizing its stock systems.

Job Duties:

  • Reconcile inventory on a regular basis including receipts and invoicing

  • Troubleshoot and solve any variances

  • Process daily production reports

  • Manage control measures to ensure mistakes, inaccuracies and discrepancies are highlighted, addressed and resolved.

  • Manage outside warehouses including shipping and receiving activities.

  • Work with other departments to ensure effective and timely communication of information

  • Perform cycle counts and data entry verification

  • Position is split between warehouse and production environments where extreme temperatures can occur and office environment

Qualifications:

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Accounting degree

  • At least 3 years inventory control experience

  • Experience with inventory tracking software and bar code scanning systems

  • Excellent Excel skills

  • Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting capabilities
