The Staffing Consultant is responsible for providing best-in-class service to Kelly’s customers and candidates. The Staffing Consultant provides temporary, contract, long-term and permanent placement opportunities to employees and candidates at a variety of clients, many of which are Fortune 500 Companies.

The Staffing Consultant’s performance is a key determinant of Kelly’s reputation in the marketplace. Therefore, the Staffing Consultant must continually strive to meet and exceed service delivery goals and customer expectations. Operating within company policy, the Staffing Consultant exercises discretion and independent judgment in making decisions. The Staffing Consultant must focus on profitable pricing, expense, and cost-of-service management to achieve targeted contribution.

The successful candidate should possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree, a post-secondary diploma and/or equivalent work experience.

  • A minimum of two years’ experience in a customer service-related position is required.

  • Bilingual English/French.

  • Experience in a staffing industry environment working with administrative, customer service, professional and skilled trades positions would be an asset.

  • The key competencies include the ability to build relationships, communicate effectively, and accomplish many detail-oriented tasks simultaneously.

  • In addition, the candidate must demonstrate a strong customer focus, team orientation, a sense of urgency and technical proficiency (i.e., computer skills).

Responsibilities:

Customer-related service

Order fulfillment:

  • Analyzing needs and taking customer orders, documenting order requirements in front office systems, conducting candidate searches, presenting candidates, scheduling interviews, following up on interviews/candidates presented, informing customers on status of orders, offering assignments to temporary employees and making offers to permanent candidates, filling orders in front office systems, confirming orders to customer and employees, conducting arrival calls, managing secondary suppliers. Order Management:

  • Conducting quality control calls, conducting order extensions, documenting order activity in front office systems, managing service disruptions. Customer Reporting:

  • Determining reporting requirements with consideration to legal constraints, creating, delivering, and presenting customer reports. Employee-related serviceRecruiting/Sourcing:

  • Analyzing branch recruiting needs and developing recruiting strategy (e.g., determining which recruiting events to attend, creating recruiting collateral, developing and maintaining relationships with recruiting sources), managing recruiting budget, analyzing results. Hiring:

  • Screening and assessing candidates, administering evaluations, conducting interviews, checking references, conducting orientations. Employee Management:

  • Counselling employees, resolving problems or concerns, and managing employee relations issues. Business Development:

  • Identifying business opportunities for Kelly (e.g., via telephone, by participating in community/customer events), conducting skill alerts, maximizing conversion and direct hire fee income.
