Kelly Services Logistics Clerk - LTL experience required in Mason, Ohio
Kelly Services has a customer in Mason looking for an experienced Logistics Clerk for a first shift position 8a-5p M-F
** This is not a warehouse/material handler position - you MUST have LTL carriers and freight experience to be considered for this position **
Steel toed shoes are required for this position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides tactical support regarding transportation matters involving the movement of outbound finished goods.
Understand and track inventory for each assigned truck route or driver
Assist Dir of Logistics with identifying transportation requirements and making recommendations for carrier selection
Work with transportation cost quotations to internal departments.
Communicate regularly with motor carriers to determine shipping schedules.
Perform the administrative aspects of auditing freight pricing and assisting with truck routing.
Other duties as described by Supervisor

TMS (Transportation Management System) experience is STRONGLY preferred.
Education and/or Experience:
High school education or greater.
Prior logistics experience is required
Applies common sense and reasoning ability to carrying out instructions.

- The employee is regularly engaged in extended periods sitting, speaking, and computer usage, and is sometimes exposed to moderate lifting.
Work Environment: Work is performed in an office environment; however some tasks may take place in the on-site factory.
Personal Protective Equipment: When entering the shop environment, the use of safety glasses and protective clothing is required. Hearing protection is recommended in certain areas of the shop.
