Kelly Services HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST WITH UNION LABOR LAW EXPERIENCE in Marion, Ohio

Job Description

The primary function of this position hourly recruiting, selection and on-boarding of all hourly production employees. This position will also provide Labor Relations guidance, leadership, and related expertise to employees at the Marion facilities. The position will also focus on teamwork with a heavy emphasis toward fostering positive labor relations/employee engagement. Furthermore, this position will assist with change management and taking a leadership role in employee development and counseling.

$26 - $32 per hour depending on experience

Position Responsibilities:

Oversee the recruitment of hourly non-exempt personal in two locations; Shelby and Marion

-Facilitate the Labor Relations process

-Includes 1st and 2nd step union grievances and related responses, the taking of minutes, and overseeing job progression/job bids

-Interface with all levels of management and union leadership in interpreting union contracts; may participate in union contract negotiations

-Execute and perform HR Generalist duties including approving disciplinary action and attendance tracking

-Apply and support Core Values

Education/Skill Requirements:

-Experience in the recruitment of non-exempt personnel requirements

-Bachelor of Arts degree in a related discipline is strongly preferred with a minimum of 3 to 6 yrs of labor relations experience

-Experience responding to or answering union grievances strongly preferred

-Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred

-Must possess superior problem solving/conflict resolutions skills

-Must possess strong "people skills" and work well with others

-Proficiency in computer technologies including MS operating systems and Kronos/timekeeping
