Kelly Government Solutions is currently seeking a HR and EH&S Administrative Assistant to support one of our top government clients on Joint Base Lewis McChord, WA on a contract to hire assignment.

The selected candidate will support our client’s Joint Base Lewis McChord Washington state team and will partner with internal customers to assist in meeting business objectives through effective Human Resources, Environmental Health & Safety and Change Management support.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists in the talent acquisition process which includes: coordinating interview schedules, entering data into the applicant tracking system (ATS), and initiating the pre and post-employment processes

  • Enters and monitors purchase orders data required for acquisition of temporary workers

  • Assists with the scheduling, preparation and processing of new employee and temporary worker on-boarding

  • Updates and maintains employee data in HRIS, as well as a variety of confidential and sensitive electronic and hard copy records and files

  • Responsible for the preparation and maintenance of HR, ES&H and Change Management specific metrics utilized by the business unit leadership teams

  • Responds to general inquiries and provides routine information to employees and managers on HR, EH&S and Change Management matters which may include Company policies, procedures and practices

  • Assists in the processes required for the overseas deployment and return of U.S.-based employees

  • Provides general administrative assistance to include answering phones, scheduling and calendaring meetings, preparing and maintaining files, preparing correspondence, maintaining and purchasing supplies, processing and tracking various expense reports, scheduling domestic and international travel and preparing and updating reports

Job Requirements:

  • Three to five years of work related experience; two years in Human Resources preferable

  • An associates or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources preferable

  • Must possess the ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information

  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and written communication skills required to effectively interface with employees, candidates and customers at all levels

  • Must possess the ability to prioritize multiple, time sensitive tasks effectively while maintaining a high-level of accuracy and organization

  • Proficiency in office software

  • Knowledge of HR software such as HRIS, performance management and ATS and Workers Compensation preferred

  • Must be able to gather and analyze information skillfully and analyze data to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner

  • A customer service mindset required
