HVAC Engineer

POSITION SUMMARY

Provides specialized engineering services in the areas related to heating, ventilation, and air conditioning. The HVAC engineer responsibilities comprise designing, testing, and manufacturing the systems related to heating, air conditioning, and ventilation so that they are properly fitted to meet the required specifications for the old buildings as well as the newly constructed buildings.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for taking into account the clients' needs and designing the system wherein these requirements will be fulfilled by carrying out these duties within the given budget standards

  • Determines the scope of the clients' project and makes sure that it is completed within the given deadline

  • Design the HVAC system as per the requirements mentioned in the proposal through various stages like designing, fabricating, and testing

  • Apply the technical expertise and knowledge that will support the designing, manufacturing, testing, and troubleshooting and help in better delivery of the HVAC system

  • Make an active contribution in the research and development efforts by understanding the HVAC advances that will match with the emerging technologies

  • Be accountable for the specification of sheet metal layout, components and the fabrication approaches

  • Monitor the execution of the developmental efforts and think of innovative ideas to build and design the HVAC system within the given budget and time

  • Ensure all the HVAC engineering deliverables are in compliance with the project and other relevant regulatory requirements and that it meets with the approved specifications and data

  • Attends and monitors the regular schedule of the engineering deliverables and keeps track on its progress

  • Participates in the meetings and may provide technical consultation to the clients

  • Produces equipment schedules, making changes and adjustments as necessary with input from the engineering team as required

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education:

  • Bachelors of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or other related discipline required

Experience:

  • 5+ years previous work experience related to HVAC systems designing, production, or service required

Computer Skills:

  • Microsoft Office, AutoCad, Revit

Certifications

Licenses:

  • Professional Engineer (PE) preferred or ability to obtain
