Overview: To manage the functions and productivity of the shift workers to ensure timely and quality output while observing safety guideline regulations.

Duties: Manage shift workers to ensure the productivity and/or quotas as established by the Operations Manager.

Train workers to properly use all equipment within their job duties and provide access to all safety equipment needed. Spot check for safety violations at random intervals.

Check condition of equipment and set-up each piece of equipment before each shift. Including but not limited to: Coder, Labeler, Filler, Shipper Labels, and Pallet Pattern.

Report any equipment malfunctions to the Operations Manager immediately.

Provide materials needed to the workers for each shift.

Running Process you must check: Weights, Label Placements, Codes, Production Numbers, and Cleanliness of product to be shipped.

Perform equipment changeovers.

Rotate inventory, if needed, when stocking shelves. FIFO: First In, First Out

Warehouse: Keep warehouse isles open and clean of any debris. Wash any spillage and cone off area until dry.

Shipping: Shrink wrap all pallets and attach any documentation such as Packing List, Bill of Lading, and MSDS, as needed.

Receiving: Check for PO-s to match with material being received. Pull all paperwork off incoming shipments give to Operations Manager or President.

All other task within the general description of Operations Supervisor as assigned by the Operations Manager and/or Owner/President when needed.

Skills: Computer, math, writing, forklift/pallet jack, safety guidelines, time management and leadership qualities.

Qualifications: Must have previous supervisory warehouse/operations, forklift, and inventory control experience.

3 to 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with several years of compounding/mixing and chemical blending management experience.

-2 to 3 years of supervising production employees in a manufacturing environment.

-Preferably a 4 year degree from a four-year college or university.

-Strong analytical and problem solving.

-Knowledge of related production tools and equipment (pumps, weight scales, flow meters. etc)

-Strong leadership qualities.

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

A working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office 2003 or higher.
