Kelly Services has an immediate opening for a Human Resources Generalist to fill an immediate opening for a 90 day temporary assignment at a company on the Westside of Jacksonville. The standard hours are from 6:00am - 3:00pm with some flexibility.
HR Generalists are expected to be collaborative partners within the HR team and the business. As a temporary HR Generalist you will be supported by the Regional HR Manager, 3 HR Generalists and 2 HR Specialists.
With this role the temporary HR Generalist will utilize a proactive, consultative approach with customers; provide HR expertise and guidance in the areas of associate relations, attendance issues, leave management and leadership coaching while also making recommendations to support business and HR objectives. Individual will apply creative problem solving and data analysis to address business needs and issues while utilizing a cultural filter in decision making. Individual must be a team player who demonstrates integrity, ability to influence, initiative, innovation and courage. The temporary HR Generalist must manage self and others through change, demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and ability to help drive change in the business.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
Effectively manage and document Associate Relations issues, investigations and conflict resolution
Serve as liaison for associates with the Leave Management team to provide assistance and clarification regarding leaves of absence policies and procedures (FMLA/STD/LTD/Workers Compensation)
Partner with associates and management on ADAAA Accommodation requests
Provide coaching and counseling to all levels of associates in order to maximize performance and engagement
Work collaboratively with HR counterparts and the business leaders
Partner with the Learning & Organizational Development, Total Rewards and Talent Acquisition departments to ensure proper processes or procedures are being followed
Assist in implementation and communication of Human Resources policies and procedures
Assist with personnel filing
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Industrial Psychology or equivalent experience preferred
3+ years of experience in a Human Resources Operations role required
Experience in Associate Relations (including investigations, employment law, wage and hour issues, FMLA/ADA regulations and compliance) required
Knowledge of employment law and other government compliance regulations required
General knowledge of the principles and practices of human resource administration; knowledge of sound techniques in all aspects of human resources
Demonstrates the capacity to manage ambiguity and shifting priorities while remaining calm and controlled
Demonstrates prudent judgment when making important decisions by utilizing knowledge of industry best practices and current trends
Demonstrates proficiency with technology
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills required
Working knowledge of the UltiPro and iCims platforms a plus
Ability to utilize reporting and data for analysis to support business case
Proven ability to partner across cross functional teams to accomplish objectives
Proven ability to manage projects to a successful completion, multi-task and work within tight deadlines
Proven ability to influence all levels of associates
