Qualifications:

  • A BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical or Computer Engineering is preferred.

  • A minimum of 0-2 years of hands-on experience operating, troubleshooting, assembling or testing computerized electro-mechanical equipment is required.

  • Experience working in a production engineering environment or R&D laboratory environment is preferred.

  • Experience at recording, analyzing and interpreting experimental data using statistical software is preferred.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.

  • Excellent organizational skills are required. Strong technical mindset, intellectual curiosity and a desire to achieve are required.

  • The Engineering Technician will apply fundamental engineering skills to assist senior engineers in the planning, design and execution of experiments using various types of manual and automated processes equipment.

  • The Technician will assist to evaluate current processes and equipment and make recommendations to improve product quality, efficiency, yield and safety.

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Execution of lab experiments and compilation of the experimental data for analysis

  • Troubleshooting process and equipment problems to make recommendations for improvement

  • Identification, planning and execution of portions of projects under direction of senior engineer

  • Assist with qualification of new equipment

  • Assist in the preparation of equipment specifications, HECP, SOP, JSA, calibration and maintenance procedures

  • Interface with the project team and other departments of the organization to communicate experimental data and status of process and equipment issues; and performs other related duties as assigned by management.
