Document Control Clerk in Irving, TX

Essential Functions: The Document Control Clerk supports the activities in the Document Control department by performing data entry; filing, archiving, copying, and retrieving documents.

Location: Irving, TX

Schedule: 8:00AM-5:00PM, Monday-Friday

Pay Rate: $15.00/hr

Start: TBD - dependent on candidate’s availability

Position Summary: The Document Control Clerk supports the activities in the Document Control department by performing data entry; filing, archiving, copying, and retrieving documents.

Responsibilities:

  • Data entry and reporting using the ERP/MES Systems & Microsoft Office Products.

  • Files and retrieves documentation according to established methodology into and from Documentation Control Areas.

  • Copies documents and when required distributes documents to organizations within Mentor Corporation.

  • Assist Document Control department in the performance of duties including supporting department performance metrics. Participate in the investigation and resolution of documentation problems.

  • Participate in identification and retrieval of documentation in response to requests.

  • Preparation of basic trend analysis on identified key performance indicators.

  • Assist in software evaluations as requested. Performing basic file maintenance.

  • Suggest Process/Procedure and Improvements when appropriate

  • Support Internal and External Audits as required.

  • Support the Records Management (RM) Program as per PL553-005 & related RM documentation at Mentor Irving

  • Ensures the Quality Management System is maintained in a state of readiness to applicable regulations and directives such as 21CFR820, ISO13485, MDD, CMDR, TGA, ANVISA, MHLW and applicable regulatory requirements.

  • Other duties as assigned by Document Control management.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

  • Minimum six months manufacturing experience. Word processing, spreadsheet design, database, and presentation software experience is required

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
