To work as a valued member of the Warehouse team. The job will primarily consist of receiving, storing and distributing materials and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all job functions. The Warehouse Associate position is not eligible for telecommuting.


This is a full-time position expected to work 5 to 5 ½ days per week ranging from 7 to 10 hours per day. Availability and willingness to work overtime, weekends and/or holidays are required and hours vary depending on the workload and/or schedule of vessels the Company is supplying.

Supervisor(s): Warehouse Supervisor/Manager, Branch Manager and/or General Manager

Shipping and Receiving Duties:

Assist in shipping and receiving by safely loading and unloading trucks, carefully checking in merchandise and accurately matching purchase orders to sales orders.

Safely open and/or seal cases, crates, or other containers.

Properly mark materials with correct identifying information using appropriate method.

Carefully sort and securely place materials or items on racks, shelves or bins according to predetermined sequence.

Correctly prepare parcels for mailing (i.e., using proper packing methods).

Order Processing Functions:

Carefully read and review customer orders from the pick and hold.

Assemble the orders from stock (using appropriate methods of counting, weighing and measuring).

Place orders neatly and securely, in boxes or appropriate packaging, in turn placing on pallets (shrink wrapping, tagging and secure placement in holding area(s) for shipment.

Properly prepare pallets for shipment in addition to marking pallets or loose items on load sheets.

Communicate any comments or changes on the pick and hold in order for discrepancies to be recorded and reported to customer in a timely manner (noting all relative details when necessary).

Correctly mark loose materials (i.e., steel, plywood, ladders, filters, etc.) with identifying information using appropriate methods.

Assist with daily cycle counts when needed.

Warehouse Maintenance Functions:

Thoroughly sweep, dust, mop, pick up and remove trash as often as needed to ensure warehouse is clean and orderly and to ensure a safe work environment.

Organize warehouse and work area to ensure efficient operations.


Minimum High School Diploma/GED preferred.

Ability to read, write and communicate in English sufficiently to read pick and holds, transfers, and accompanying notes, customer and colleague e-mails, and understand safety instructions required...

Ability to comprehend exchange and communicate information regarding receipts, shipments and orders required.

Prior experience and/or knowledge with identifying marine and/or technical supplies preferred.

Mathematical abilities including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division as well as conversions to and from the metric system required.

Must be able to safely & efficiently operate forklift, pallet jack, and other material handling equipment. Prior or current certification to operate this equipment is preferred.

Physical Aspects:

Attendance at work and punctuality is an essential function of this position.

Requires prolonged standing and walking and frequent stooping, bending and reaching.

Requires frequent movement throughout a 100,000 sq ft warehouse to gather and assemble orders.

Requires ability to safely ascend and descend ladders or stairs to store and obtain stock.

Must be able to lift and frequently (or repeatedly) carry up to 50 pounds (unassisted).

Must be able to occasionally lift and carry up to 100 pounds (with assistance).

Must be able to work in severe weather conditions, including hot and cold.

Must be able to exchange accurate information about items received and shipped.


High School or GED
