QUALITY CONTROL TECHNICIAN

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for performing quality control testing of finished drug products according to standard operating procedures, including microbiological and analytical chemistry tests. This position requires starting times between 4am to 9am including work on weekends.

Requirements:

  • College Diploma or BSc in Engineering, Chemistry or Microbiology

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience working in a GMP environment

  • Understanding of analytical chemistry techniques such as HPLC, GC and TLC is an asset

  • Ability to lift 23 kilograms

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine calibration and maintenance of equipment, and inventory and material management of incoming raw materials

  • Support analytical method development, transfer, and validation activities

  • Create, revise, and review technical documents including SOPs, validation documents, standard test methods according to good documentation practices and reports

  • Conduct investigations for testing failure and non-conformances in accordance with SOPs and notify management of deviations

  • Plan, implement, and complete assigned tasks in a timely fashion ensuring consistent high quality.

  • Follow CNSC and GMP regulations by maintaining complete records of routine operations, microbiological testing, and equipment maintenance.

  • Maintain overall cleanliness of the facility and follow Health Canada and GMP requirements

  • Assist with inventory and management of Quality Control materials.

  • Work as a member of a team to achieve all outcomes.

  • Complete all other related duties as assigned.
