Hours : (Mon-Fri) 8:00am – 4:00pm

Pay Rate: $19.76

Location : Halifax

We are seeking individuals with the ability to grow and change with our dynamic business and who enjoy working in a team environment. This is a contract position with the possibility of permanent conversion based on performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Administration of new applications

  • Maintenance of application files and follow up on required documentation

  • Maintenance of application database

  • Audit of application files

  • Produce reports for Supervisor, Operations & Administration regarding new applications

  • Maintain the data exchange process with the policyholder as it pertains to new applications

  • Provide front line customer service by telephone

Qualifications

As the preferred candidate, you will possess:

  • Post secondary education (would be an asset )

  • Minimum 2 years previous experience in an administrative/clerical role (would be an asset)

  • Knowledge of Canadian Armed Forces/insurance terminology/concepts would be an asset

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Lotus Notes

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)

  • Solid office administration skills

  • Strong customer service experience in a demanding environment

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision making skills

  • Analytical skills with a close attention to detail

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

  • Deadline driven
