Manufacturing Engineer

Responsible for development and sustainability of all manufacturing processes, welding, assembly and automation of the production system.

  • Lead, design and implement improvements to tooling, fixtures, equipment and manufacturing processes.

  • Participate as an integral member of the production team to support and improve efforts in safety, quality, and delivery.

  • Proactive participation in the Total Productive Maintenance process.

  • Design, specify, procure, install, start-up, and establish maintenance requirements for automated fabrication, assembly and test equipment.

  • Install and maintain transducer controlled DC electric nut-runners in the assembly process.

  • Develop and improve automated and manual welding processes (MIG & TIG).

  • Lead and/or support technology transfer efforts for new production activities.

  • Create training for both operational and maintenance activities.

  • Provide emergency technical support for maintenance of automated equipment and processes as requested.


  • Strong working knowledge of mechanical construction, pneumatic and hydraulic control systems, motor pump control circuits, electronic/electrical control circuits, and components.

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and schematics.

  • Strong project administration and coordination skills.

  • Knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the machinery/tooling field.

  • Experience with conceptualizing, implementing and improving assembly processes.

  • Strong understanding of automation utilizing computer controlled operating systems.

  • AWS Certified weld engineer a plus, but not required.

  • Ability to use calibration and test equipment.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Team orientated.

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and PLC programming.

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (Engineering or Technology)

8 years related work experience; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
