Job Description

Responsible for LIMS Management: Setup and management of Environmental Monitoring Program, initiation of new product upload, management of Finished Product Testing Program, trouble shoot ongoing testing and specification issues.

Responsible for the review of all laboratory results and the filing and entry of such results into the applicable systems.

Responsible for the identification and investigation of out of specification (OOS) results related to incoming, outgoing, and environmental monitoring programs.

Perform and document daily plant wide GMP inspections. Initiate follow up and investigation of findings.

Manage and assess product variance requests and facilitate contact between customers and site team.

Monitor laboratory inventory (equipment, labels, swabs, etc.) and place orders when necessary.

Responsible for the management of the Product Evaluation System (PES) and ensuring all samples are received by the customer in a timely manner.

Coordination and facilitation of Mock Recall Exercises.

Coordination and facilitation of Food Defense meetings.

Lead internal and external audits as necessary and deemed by the Quality Team Management (i.e. Organic Program)

Write and maintain documents in accordance with the Kerry Global Quality Management System as needed.

Management of the Global Quality Management System (GQMS) Procedure Review; Manage the review of both on-site and global procedures to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.

Responsible for the final review of all production, quality, and sanitation paperwork to ensure completeness and compliance with established specifications.

Responsible for the review and creation of all operational specifications (test runs, new products, product changes, etc.)

Responsible for incoming packaging verification and approval.

Established team leader for the foreign material mitigation team for on-site operations, as well as communication throughout the business unit

Established team leader for the site specific paperwork review group.

Initiate internal and customer related incidents investigation via a formal root cause analysis; engage all relevant functions in the investigation

Coordinate the expectations and requirements to successfully carry out allergen and sanitation validations within the facility.

Assist in compiling quality and statistical data.

Take part and and/or lead projects as assigned. (i.e. Quality Improvement Plan initiatives, customer related requests, etc.).

Perform actions as required to promote a quality culture and engagement of production operators through inclusion in Quality analysis, root cause analysis, training and other related activities. Conduct training and presentations as needed. May include cross functional audience at various levels of responsibility.

Performs all duties in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices and HACCP requirements. Adheres to uniform requirements. Audits HACCP paperwork Adheres to all safety rules. Performs all other related duties as required.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to work as an effective team member; includes accepting supervision/assistance from other team members.

Possess adequate people skills to fulfill the requirements of the job and facilitate interaction with fellow employees, management, and outside personnel.

Detail oriented and self-directed.

Able to read and interpret an SDS and all other quality documents.

Ability to learn and operate machinery by a computerized control panel.

Possess basic keyboard and data entry skills.

Ability to comprehend and follow written and/or verbal procedures or instructions.

Have basic math and mechanical skills.
