Lab Analyst (Fremont, CA)
We are seeking a Lab Analyst to work at out Fremont, CA laboratory. We are known as a recognized leader in providing analysis to the high tech industry. In this position you will put you’re analytical chemistry skills to work in a dynamic, fast paced lab environment supporting both internal and external clients with accurate and precise results.
Temp to Perm Opportunity!
Full-time Position, Swing Shift (Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday), 1pm to 10pm
Perform a variety of moderately complex lab test or protocols based on standard operating procedures (SOP’s)
Analyzes data, interprets results and makes detailed observations concerning a particular technique.
Maintains laboratory notebooks and logbooks according to protocol and inputs data for reports and summaries.
plans and maintains daily work based on supervisors input
Maintains a clean laboratory, equipment, ad lab apparatus and practices safe waste disposals
practice cleanroom protocols
may provide technical training to other analysts according to SOP’s and work instructions after proficiency is achieved
May handle and analyze non-standard client samples under supervision and work instructions
Independently handle client samples without contamination in a matter consistent with principle of analytical chemistry to maintain accurate reproducible and precise results
Perform routine maintenance of instruments and sample preparation apparatuses
Clean lab ware as needed or assigned for various methods
Required education and skills:
AA degree in Chemistry with at least 3-4 years of Related Industry Experience
BS in Chemistry or MS with no experience
Must have basic knowledge of chemistry and good math and analytical skills
Must be able to follow QA/QC protocols as established by the quality system
Good communication oral and written skills
Must be able to work well with management, peers, and cross functional groups
Must be able to stand for prolong periods of time meet ridged guidelines, and perform well under pressure
Must be able to lift 20-40 lbs
Preferred qualification and skills:
Experience in a clean room and the ISO 17025 quality systems is a plus
Coursework or experience with analytical chemistry
