Assistant Facility Security Officer

East Hartford

Our client is seeking a temporary candidate to assist with the daily tasks of the Government Security Compliance team.

The primary function may involve any of the following daily tasks: clearance processing by interfacing with various employees, taking fingerprints, reviewing clearance application (SF86) and using a data entry system designed for clearance processing application. Additional duties may also include, ensuring visit requests are processed efficiently and internal processes are updated and standardized; and various other duties as assigned by team members. The ideal candidate will have experience managing large amounts of data, and customer service skills, thus, efficiency, attention to detail, and positive and effective communication skills are a must. The role requires full compliance with all National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) policies and various other regulations and processes.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Process Security Clearance applications

  • Manage and track large amounts of complex data

  • Always be professional and have A1 customer service skills

  • Adhere to security policies and implement changes as required

  • Have Industrial Security experience

  • Maintain a keen focus on results

  • Have excellent MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel skills

  • Must have and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance

Requirements:

B.A./B.S. Degree and 3+ years of professional work experience.

Must have and maintain US Government security clearance eligibility.
