Job Title: Electrical Engineer II
Location: Denver CO
Duration: Contract 6-9 months
- Kelly Services is seeking an Electrical Engineer II that will independently evaluate, select, and apply standard electrical engineering techniques, procedures and criteria to the creation and troubleshooting of wiring and electronic components. Assignments involve planning and conducting work that requires analysis and the ability to balance technical, scheduling and resource constraints prior to initiating corrective actions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
An Electrical Engineer II independently performs most assignments with instructions as to the general results expected. Technical guidance is received on unusual or complex problems and supervisory approval is received on proposed plans for projects. An Electrical Engineer II plans, schedules, and conducts or coordinates the engineering work for projects of moderate to limited scope. Assignments involve conventional engineering practice but may include a variety of complex features. A variety of analytical tools are used to solve engineering problems. Examples of specific duties are as follows:
Designs, builds, and integrates new wire routing designs into prototype equipment with a focus on manufacturability and cost control for serial production.
Works with external vendors to create UL and CE compliant wire harnesses.
Troubleshoots product performance issues using standard electrical measurement tools
Works directly with vendors and agency testing facilities to resolve electrical safety compliance problems in product designs
Creates and maintains CAD models, drawings, and engineering documentation for engineering designs.
Collaborates with others to integrate multiple project requirements into a cohesive design
Provides task summaries to the project team to create and maintain accurate project schedules.
Communicates risks and opportunities to the project team and functional management.
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related science from an ABET accredited college or university.
A minimum of three years of professional engineering experience is required, or a combination of experience and graduate level education.
Knowledge of various electrical components and their functions such as switches, relays, contactors, motors, fuses, and circuit breakers.
Knowledge of electrical codes relating to system design, conductor and component sizing.
A minimum of one year of experience using CAD (AutoCAD Preferred).
Solid understanding of standard dimensioning techniques
