Kelly Services Controller in Daytona, Florida
Kelly Financial Resources has partnered with a very well-established client located in Daytona Beach (32114). They are an industry leader and are experiencing rapid growth. Due to this growth and a recent acquisition, they are now looking for a controller to oversee their core business department and assist their Operations team with M&A accounting efforts. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing company in a position that is designed to have upward mobility. Positions that this could transition into include Director of SEC Reporting, Director of FP&A, and more! Additional responsibilities are as follows:
Responsibilities:
Leads department and its members, serving as the principal advisor regarding all accounting matters that affect the preparation and reporting of actual financial results
Work closely with other departments including Internal Audit, SEC/Corporate, FP&A, M&A, Operations, etc.
Accounting responsible of around 1 billion dollars
Oversee daily, monthly, and annual accounting transaction processing
Oversee the month-end close process for your department
Maintain integrity of departments internal financial statements
Review and approve key account reconciliations and GL
Oversees daily, monthly, and annual reporting
Review financial statements for trends in direct margins and overheads
This includes drill downs into Line of Business and Product Line dimensions
Full responsibility for budget in assigned department
Supervisory responsibilities for team of managers (5+)
Requirements:
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree (business or accounting focused)
CPA required or must be able to get one
Prior experience in a company with 500+ million in revenue is required
10+ years of general experience
5+ years' experience as a controller
5+ years supervisory experience
SEC reporting experience is highly desired
Prior experience in construction, manufacturing, and/or Big 4 is highly desired
Prior experience in Mergers and Acquisitions is highly desired
Experience with ERP upgrades and migrations is highly desired
Ability to assist with data and system consolidations and integrations
Large scale ERP experience (currently using Oracle)
Strong communication ability with both executive level and subordinates
