POSITION OBJECTIVE

Provide extremely confidential data to fundraisers in order to raise major gift support to promote projects and increase endowment. The incumbent is responsible for implementing a host of strategies for fundraisers for the cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of selected donors in order to secure large scale, long-term support for CWRU programs and projects. Must be able to advise or instruct fundraisers in the areas of donor research and information.

  1. Ability to perform of-site research independently.

Requirements

A bachelor's degree is required for this position. The applicant must have familiarity with on-line databases, personal computers, and information management, retrieval and references directories.

Thorough understanding of research to support fundraising initiatives, prospect management systems and data management tools.

  1. Possess a highly refined and urgent sense of confidentiality and discretion as this position has access to extremely personal and financial information

  2. Ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing.

  3. The ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals

  4. Expertise in administrative statistical and research survey techniques.

  5. The ability to interpret and evaluate results to develop sound conclusions and recommend new or revised policies.

Highlights

Provide research and analysis of biographical, philanthropic, professional and financial information on donors and prospects. Prepare written profiles, rating memos, event bios and qualified lists to support he cultivation of individuals. Perform quantitative analysis to determine capacity rating based on financial data to qualify prospects. The applicant requires a bachelor-s degree, familiarity with on-line databases, personal computers, and information management, retrieval and reference directories.
