Job Description

Kelly Services has a customer in Cincinnati who is looking for an HR professional who is well versed in the nuances of Leave of Absence's and all that this entails.

This is a temp to hire position with a minimum salary of $50K, and there is room for upward negotiation based on experience.

Here are the details of what is required to be considered for this position:


Manages all leave of absence cases including FMLA, Sickness and Accident, Sick Day, and ADA claims. Effectively manages all cases/claims to include general administration, comprehensive case management and program compliance with the Family and Medical Leave Act, Americans with Disabilities Act and other related employment laws. Performs exemplary customer service and assistance to employees, executives and HR business partners.


Performs data analysis such as inspecting, cleansing, transforming, and modeling data with the goal of discovering useful information, suggesting conclusions, and supporting decision-making.

Serves as the subject matter expert for the leave programs in alignment and under the general direction and

Interprets and administers leave programs and policies in accordance with the applicable federal and state employment laws (FMLA, ADA, USERRA, etc.)

Coordinates and organizes all medical information and ensures that HIPAA and Employee Privacy guidelines are closely monitored and effectively executed.

Analyze and monitor FMLA, Accident and Sick Day claims, ADA, and Short Term Disability claims to determine eligibility and certification in compliance with applicable federal, state, or company regulations.

Manages STD program and vendor relationships. Ensure that STD claims are coordinated with FMLA, ADA and other general medical cases.

Composes, interprets and distributes ad hoc reporting of ADA, FMLA, STD and Sick Day as required.

Works closely with employees to ensure that all relevant completed medical documentation is submitted for timely review.

Assist employees with questions regarding FMLA, Accident and Sick claims, ADA and Short Term Disability claims.

Manages all administrative aspects of leaves to include tracking hours used, hours remaining and working.

Maintains appropriate contact with all employees on leave and coordinates all aspects of return to work for employees on leave..

Assist in the creation and facilitation of leave administration training programs to include training of departmental clerks.

Meets regularly with the Benefits and Compensation Manager to review claims' status and develops strategies for issue resolution.

Manages all aspects of leave programs. Provides extensive case management and coordinates administrative.

Partners closely with and meets regularly with the Benefits and Compensation Manager to review claims' status and develops strategies for resolution.

Manages leave vendor relationships. Ensure that STD claims are coordinated with FMLA, ADA or general medical cases.

Model exemplary internal and external customer service.

A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, business administration or related discipline

Experience Required: 5+ years of progressive experience in leave administration


Ability to analyze information and convert related activities into a comprehensive work plan

Ability to identify basic problems and procedural irregularities, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities

Demonstrated problem solving, time management and priority setting skills

Excellent communications and organizational skills

Computer Skills

Advanced knowledge of HRIS, leave related software programs, Microsoft Suite products, Internet and email

Certificates & Licenses

Courses and/or seminars on ADA, FMLA compliance and HIPPA regulations.

Certifications on ADA, FMLA compliance and HIPPA regulations.
