Kelly Services Vice President of Sales (Consumer Goods) in Chandler, Arizona

Job Description

Our client is a large manufacturing company who is currently looking for a Vice President of Sales with a consumer goods background (food, beverage, etc.).This person will ensure a strong, stable, continued growth pattern for the company-s private label accounts. Support and assist the sales team in pricing, strategy, and growth plans. Collaborate on projects that benefit customers and the company, increasing customer loyalty.

Essential Duties - Order does not necessarily indicate duty importance:

-Follow all company policies and procedures.

-Follow and ensure organizational compliance to quality system.

-Lead the sales team and account management teams to support and grow the company-s strategically significant, exclusive brand customers.

-Develop and execute strategies for expanding brand sales/distribution including, but not limited to: product portfolio management, financial analysis and prospecting new business targets.

-Lead category management efforts and position company to act as our retail partner-s category captain by staying current on market, growth and general industry trends.

-Support the company-s product development and mix management efforts including SKU rationalization.

-Work Cross functionally with the SVP of Operations to optimize the company-s Inventory, Supply Chain and Material Management process - delivering industry leading service while balancing the company-s working capital requirements.

-Manage and direct the company-s annual sales revenue goals and distribution objectives.

-Drive strategic advancements in capabilities and services.

-Compile information and data related to customer and prospect interactions.

-Monitor market and competitor activity and provide feedback to the company-s leadership team.

-Work closely with Marketing, Customer Service, Operations and Quality Departments to establish successful channel and partner programs.

-Support new product development and improvements to existing products/processes.

-Manage and direct personal development of team members regardless of departmental discipline.

-Manage the achievement of company goals in the Sales Department while operating within the parameters of assigned business operation budgets.

-Support and drive the company-s strategic plan.

-Responsible to uphold safety and quality standards within the organization and demonstrate adherence to company mission, visions and values that builds positive organizational culture.

-Accountable for the quality of work.

-Perform other duties as assigned.



-BA Degree or sufficient work experience preferred.

-Five to Ten years of work experience.

-Private Label Retail experience preferred.

-Natural Food, Dietary Supplements and VMS (Vitamin, Minerals and Supplements) experience a plus.

-Supervise multiple direct reports.

-Minimum of five years managing employees preferred

-No certifications or licenses required.

-Must be able to understand, speak, read and write in English in order to perform essential functions of the job as they relate to comprehension of laws, regulations, standards, documents and other internal and external communications.

-Strong computers skills. Must be able to create spreadsheets, presentations, documents and utilize computer software and programs.

-Strong and effective communication skills.

History to develop strong, motivating and successful personnel management.

-Strong record of problem solving is highly essential.

-Able and willing to learn new tasks and procedures.

-Able to be accomplished in creating and working within a team environment with personnel.

-Ability to efficiently and effectively perform all essential position duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation without posing a direct safety threat to self or others.

-Maintain a regular and dependable work attendance record with few instances of unplanned and/or unexpected absence.
