Job Description

Should have experience operating machinery, be mechanically inclined. Must be able to work in a small team environment.

  1. Report food and safety and quality problems to personnel of authority to initiate action

  2. Follow Rapak-s Hygiene Policy

  3. Follow Rapak-s Health & Safety Policies

  4. Follow daily cleaning procedures

  5. Ensure that all materials being used are listed in the job packet

  6. Perform quality checks at the prescribed times listed in the Quality Plan and record the results in the Bag Specification In-Process Sheet

  7. Record the time, critical supplier identities and quantities of the raw materials added to the process onto the Daily Production Sheet

  8. Record information necessary for the Daily Production Sheet, Downtime Sheet, Detail Sheet and Bag Specification In-Process Sheet.

  9. Properly scan raw materials and finished goods into the Eagle/QAD system

  10. Properly report labor uptime, downtime, & finished production into Eagle/QAD system

  11. Trouble -shoot line issues and seek assistance from the proper personnel when trouble-shooting assistance is needed.

  12. Add fitments and complete roll changes when needed.

  13. Monitor packers assigned to their lines for proper packing configuration and splicing technique.

  14. Properly label individual boxes and completed pallets

  15. Keep line area clean and safe

  16. Ensure proper turnover for the next shift by explaining defects and special needs of the work order in-progress

  17. Perform or assist in line change-over-s

  18. Follow proper cleaning and sanitizing policies

  19. Use only approved sanitizer

  20. Any other reasonably related duties as assigned

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience as a machine operator

Must have a minimum of a HS Diploma or GED

Be able to perform basic troubleshooting and minor adjustments

Be able to stand for long periods of time

Be flexible to work a Rotating Shift either an AM or PM shift, once shift is assigned that will be stable.

Must be able to work every other weekend.

Must wear steel-toed boots.
