Intern – Information Technology (Plant Computing)
We are looking for individual that is passionate about acquiring hands on experience in different aspects of IT applications and technologies, within a plant operations of the oil & gas industry. The successful Intern will have the opportunity to work as a paid Intern with our client, a reputable global oil & gas company, based in Billings, MT.
Initial 6 month duration with possible 6 month extension.
Undergraduate currently pursuing Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent Degree and have completed at least first year of the course.
Minimum GPA of 3.2.
Experience in Object Oriented Programming
Experience with Relational Database (Oracle and MS SQL Server).
Knowledge of Honeywell Plant Information and Distributed Control Systems (TDC2000/3000, Uniformance) helpful, but not required.
Demonstrated competence in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, SharePoint, OneNote, PowerPoint and Outlook).
Familiar with current Information Systems technology/topology, and corresponding cybersecurity requirements.
Ability to set priorities and manage daily responsibilities effectively.
Ability and willingness to continuously learn and proactive in applying best practices.
Clear verbal and written communication.
Potential Internship Worklists (Detail tasks to be provided at pre-qualification stage):
Improve Billings Refinery DV Schematic Offering - Update the schematics offered in the Billings Refinery Data Visualization Application. Interface with Billings Plant Information Engineer, Application & Contact Engineers to perform the updates.
Fortify Cybersecurity Emergency Response Plan (CERP) and prepare test of Process Control DRP and CERP - Cold eyes review of CERP and DRP for process control. Interface with Systems Engineer, and Cybersecurity Advisor to develop an updated test of these plans. Testing to include a cyber-attack scenario.
Enhance Cyber Security Awareness Program for all Billings Refinery Users - Work with site Cyber Security Advisor to develop a site Cybersecurity Awareness Program. This program will help keep users informed of, and vigilant against the constant threat of cyber-attacks on systems.
Progress Retired Level 3 servers for disposal - Work with site Systems Engineer to evaluate retired servers in process control inventory. Evaluate if any worth remains. If fully depreciated, progress disposal of systems according to site procedures.
Billings Sharepoint Access Structure - Work with site SharePoint Administrators to develop an access group structure to eliminate granting of individual access to SharePoint team sites.
