Regulatory Affairs Specialist – Arden Hills, MN
Kelly Scientific Resources is currently seeking candidates for a Regulatory Affairs Specialist for one of our top clients in Arden Hills, MN. This is a 9-month contract position. Monday – Friday 8am-5pm.
As a Regulatory Affairs Specialist placed with Kelly Scientific Resources, you will be responsible for
Maintains U.S. animal foods registrations as required by the applicable States.
Maintains registration document repositories in accordance with the retention schedules.
Maintains commercial (dealers), manufacturers and facilities’ licenses as required per States’ regulations and company specifications.
Keeps current with:
Association of American Feed Control Officials (AFFCO)
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
Acts as Liaison for domestic animal foods (feed) registrations.
Collaborates and partners with internal and external business partners.
Completes Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) related animal foods (feed) products.
Strategically develops and optimizes animal foods (feed) registration management program.
Designs and implements standards, documents and procedures to ensure an efficient and effective animal foods (feed) registration management system.
Bachelor of Science Degree in food science or related area.
One year experience in a food manufacturing in a quality assurance role.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Access and Adobe Acrobat.
Previous Business Objects reporting responsibilities.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team based environment.
Must be detail-oriented with well-developed organizational and analytical skills.
Must enjoy working in a fast-paced dynamic environment with proven ability to be flexible and adaptable.
Demonstrated excellent written, oral, communication, presentation, planning and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and with minimal supervision.
Previous human or animal food (feed) or drug registration experience.
Food labelling experience would be an asset.
Previous experience working with U. S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).
Feed industry experience highly desired.
Familiarity with AAFCO requirements and EPA regulations.
Proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint.
Experience with Adobe InDesign and Distiller software programs.
Experience with Oracle Document Management.
