Pharmacy Technician License and experience with regulatory processes and guidelines governing health insurance products strongly preferred

Development and execution of communications to meet the needs of multiple audiences is key, and knowledge of CMS compliance is essential. Must be knowledgeable about Pharmacy Benefits and network Pharmacy Operations and serve as an expert for pharmacy-related Medicare Marketing Guidelines (MMGs).

Basic Function:

This position is responsible for developing and executing a variety of communications to meet the needs of multiple audiences through interaction with clients and management at all levels of the organization; drafting, editing and supervising the production of communications to be distributed to a variety of audiences; supporting the Govt Programs Pharmacy team in developing and managing all CMS required member marketing materials, documents and letters; in this extremely fast-moving environment. All job expectations must be met on time with a CMS compliance focus, customer-service orientation, a high degree of flexibility, a professional demeanor and the ability to deal with ambiguity and rapidly shifting deadlines with a sense of urgency. Be knowledgeable about pharmacy benefits and network pharmacy operations and serve as an expert for pharmacy related Medicare Marketing Guidelines (MMGs).

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Journalism or Communications and 3 years corporate communications experience including copy development, editing and print project management OR 6 years corporate communications experience.

  • Strong ability to work under pressure and short time lines; ability to handle multiple projects with shifting deadlines simultaneously..

  • Strong knowledge of MS Office Word and PowerPoint software.

  • Ability to interact with clients with confidence. Adept and comfortable at influencing the decision-making process.

  • Willingness to work overtime to meet client requirements.

  • Demonstrated ability to write and edit an array of communications materials for internal/external audiences.

  • Strong organizational, project management and consulting skills.

  • Ability to handle highly sensitive, confidential information; adept at handling situations with political appropriateness and sensitivity while influencing positive outcomes.

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Work experience in health care insurance, PBM or pharmacy industry.

  • Experience with regulatory processes and guidelines governing health insurance products.

  • Pharmacy Technician License or pursuing certification.
