Lab Maintenance Technician
Immediately report emergencies, incidents, and near misses to the Manufacturing Supervisor
Use and improve standard operating procedures and equipment best practices
Provide maintenance and service of existing tools and infrastructure
Perform electro-mechanical scheduled or preventative maintenance of all manufacturing equipment ranging from manual to fully-automated wet and dry chemical processes and facilities.
Troubleshooting of tool and process failures to completion; perform breakdown analysis
Use electrical/electronic, PLC system, pneumatic, mechanical, vacuum and hydraulic system knowledge to troubleshoot and repair equipment
Read electrical/electronic, fluid-power, and mechanical drawings and schematics
Follow up on equipment related issues and train manufacturing personnel when needed
Install new machinery, fixtures, and hookups under guidance of equipment team
May work with Equipment team to design and build machine guards, replacement parts, and make minor machine modifications in accordance to the management of change policy
Responsible for maintaining an accurate spare and wear part inventory, complete re-order form, independently source emergency parts
Use hand tools, basic machine tools, and weld tools to perform job tasks
Work with delicate, mechanical parts and large tools
Measure and document data and work completed in defined software
Qualify tool before handover to production personnel
Participate in the continuous improvement of safety, quality, output, and tool uptime
Document clock in / clock out times and all breaks as required in defined software
Work 12 hour shift rotation schedule to support 24/7 operation
Work overtime hours if requested and approved by Manufacturing Supervisor
