Kelly Services Accounting Operations Analyst in Naperville, Illinois

Our client, a top international Oil & Gas firm, is currently seeking an Accounting Operations Analyst for a 10 month temporary position with the opportunity for an extension. The position is located in Naperville, IL.

PAY: $19.50/HOUR

Your responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

The Accounting Operations Analyst job exists to ensure financial obligations set out in contracts are satisfied through the generation of accurate and timely sales invoices to customers and payments to vendors.

  • Execute day-to-day operations to ensure delivery exceeds customer expectations.

  • Ensure the generation of accurate and timely payment of/ to third party and inter-company vendor/ customer invoices for goods received and in compliance with policies and procedures.

  • Perform review and verification of pricing and transaction volume including contract review, move tickets and stock ledger; calculate other charges and fees.

  • Monitor variety of reports and data to ensure that accounts are accurate and clean.

  • Act as a liaison with embedded finance, traders, schedulers, credit teams and third parties in identifying and resolving various issues including contract and movement entries, deal documentation review.

  • Get directly involved with freight and ancillary payment processes.

  • Ensure timely and accurate data storage, retrieval, maintenance and updates while maintaining data security.

  • Manage the exception management payment process and resolve related queries.

  • Submit purchase payments to the Lead Analyst for daily review.

  • Manage inbound documents in accordance with the document control policy.

  • Write accrual entries for movements not processed in the system and purchase price variance.

  • Understand end-to-end processes and the interdependencies to be able to provide more business aligned service.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business related area.

  • Relevant month-end close accounting related experience (accruals).

  • Very proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Access).

  • SAP knowledge/ experience is a plus.
