Kelly Services Clinicial Contract Analyst in Mounds View, Minnesota
Kelly Services is currently seeking a Contract Analyst in Mounds View, MN to work a contract assignment for one of our top clients. Duration of contract: Scheduled for one year
Schedule: Full-time, 40hrs/week
Contract Analyst is responsible for executing high-quality clinical agreements in a timely manner that balances the needs of all parties while maintaining internal and external relationships. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Drafting, issuing, negotiating and finalizing a variety of clinical agreements (including budgets) utilizing enterprise-wide contracting processes.
Analysis of Fair Market Value (FMV) supporting budget development, negotiation, and documentation.
Liaising with clinical teams, legal, reimbursement and other functional groups on clinical agreements and informed consents as appropriate.
Conducting outsourcing proposal preparation and analysis, contract development and negotiation, contract administration, and supplier contact activities to provide for proper outsourcing contract execution and fulfillment.
Tracking progress of contract activities, providing status updates to internal and external parties, compiling and analyzing contract data, and maintaining historical contract information.
All clinical agreement work will be done in accordance with company policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), legal and regulatory requirements, and using fair market valuation.
Primary Responsibilities of the Contract Analyst includes:
Frequently uses general knowledge of clinical contracting practices, techniques and industry practices/standards.
Understands and applies general clinical contracting principles, theories and concepts. Understands the intent of contractual languages.
Manages contract negotiations of moderate scope and complexity.
Escalates contract negotiations to higher levels while managing cycle times. Regularly involves other internal parties in negotiations as needed, including manager.
Refers to established policies and practices for guidance.
Works under general supervision and work may be reviewed by manager or senior-level team members for adequacy and accuracy. May draft less complex agreements using legal-approved templates and approved alternative language with guidance and/or review from manager and/or senior-level team members and legal as required.
Seeks necessary input and guidance from manager and/or senior-level contracting team member(s).
Uses critical thinking skills to review contract redlines for understanding and intent.
Secures additional input from legal, manager, and/or clinical team as needed before responding to the other party.
Effectively manages multiple contracting priorities in a timely manner to meet the internal and external customers' needs and proactively provides status updates on contracting activities to internal customers.
Effectively manages workload in accordance with study milestones. .
Regularly communicates with internal customer/client and external other party.
Takes on process improvement projects as assigned and seeks regular input from manager regarding project direction.
Education and Experience Requirements of the Contract Analyst includes:
Bachelor’s degree required.
2 years job experience with Bachelors or 0 years job experience with Advanced Degree (e.g. JD, Masters)
Experience with Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Previous experience in customer-facing role
Proven cross-functional experience
Contract negotiation experience DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (optional)
Experience supporting clinical research or similar experience in a medical/scientific area
Experience working in a matrix environment
Good Clinical Practice (GCP) background
Project Management experience
Vendor agreement and management experience
