Kelly Services Environmental Health & Safety Specialist in Midland, Michigan

Kelly Services is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Specialist for our client, a global chemical company, in Midland MI.

This position is a long term contract opportunity and can be extended indefinitely based on performance and business needs. Pay for this role will be around $25 - $30/hr based on background and experience. This role does offer benefits in addition to the hourly pay.

This role will have the following responsibilities:

  • Reviewing and comparing hazard documentation (i.e. SDSs documents) generated for accuracy and consistency with the existing SDSs. Identifying issues and highlighting them for rework or updates

  • Reviewing and validating product label accuracy and correctness. Identifying issues and highlighting them for rework or updates

  • Assist in the maintaining and updating of product information (composition, physical properties, etc.) in SAP computer system and validating consistency across legacy and new system of record.

  • Additional system support as defined by the project

  • Familiarity with chemistry in-house products

Qualifications:

  • High School or some college is required. AS degreed candidates welcome to apply.

  • Must have 5+ years industry experience with EH&S related work. This can be in a role such as a Lab Manager, EH&S technician, etc…

  • Must be fluent in English
