Kelly Services Accountant in Memphis, Tennessee

Our client, a multinational medical equipment manufacturing company, is currently seeking an Accountant for a 6+ month contract position. The position is located in Memphis, TN.

Your responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

Pay range: $24.00 - $27.50/hour

Job Description:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management statements including Balance Sheet and P&L.

  • Maintain General Ledger and analyze/maintain a consistently updated set of account reconciliations.

  • Assist in the preparation of operating budgets and year-end reporting package.

  • Support SOX 404 internal controls documentation & testing as well as support initiatives to improve internal financial controls.

  • Work closely with internal and external auditors.

  • Maintain robust internal controls over the financial accounting and reporting process as well as ensure compliance with Group financial policies and accounting standards under US GAAP and IFRS.

Essential Job Functions

  • Maintain monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts

  • Prepare and review work papers to ensure accurate financial reporting

  • Perform specific account analysis as assigned

  • Review and analyze period expenses and review monthly accruals

  • Work closely with SOX 404 group to improve internal control procedures

  • Identify areas where procedures and efficiency can be improved Scope of Position

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor degree in accounting or finance.

  • Manufacturing/Cost Center Support experience.

  • Period-end Reporting.

  • SOX documentation.

  • Bachelor’s Degree with major in Accounting required.

  • Extensive experience with Excel spreadsheets.

  • SAP and Hyperion experience preferred.
