Kelly Services Quality Assurance Inspector in Mansfield, Massachusetts
Every day, Kelly Services connects professionals with opportunities to advance their careers. We currently have an exciting contract opportunity for a Quality Assurance Inspector with a medical device manufacturing company located in Mansfield, MA.
Work schedule will be Monday – Friday, typically 8a – 5p. Fulltime, 40 hour work week.
Duration is a temp to hire role.
Pay rate is $18.00/hour.
Performs quality inspection/audit of manufacturing operations and parameters working within established, preliminary, and developmental inspection/test/audit procedures.
Performs intermediate and complex first article, receiving, in-process, and final inspections using established, preliminary, and developmental inspection/test/audit
Interprets blue prints and specifications requiring thorough knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerances and sampling techniques/plans.
Uses sophisticated inspection equipment such as coordinate measuring machine, comparator, sine plate, microhardness tester, digital volt meter and other electronic test equipment (as it relates to the group department requirements).
Maintains records by utilizing PC's and mainframe terminals to access product information, and enter, obtain, and evaluate data.
Identify workmanship and material defects, offer suggestions for prevention, improvement, and corrective action.
Assist assigned team to maintain Quality System requirements as described within the Quality Manual and other applicable regulatory regulations.
Experience Minimum of three (3) years in mechanical inspection experience. Experience in GMPs and other quality standards preferred.
Must be able to work 10-25% overtime when requested.
Must be able to manipulate measurement devices (micrometers, calipers, etc.), knobs, buttons, and switches (on test fixtures, microscopes, machinery, etc.
Must be able to enter/record data, write/record information, hold product.
Must be able to visually inspect product (including color parameters), read gauges and visual displays.
Must be able to comprehend verbal/written information.
Excellent written/oral communication skills.
May assist QE in MRB activities.
May instruct others in proper inspection activities and quality standards.
