JOB SUMMARY

Los Angeles, CA

This position will assist with the design, development and maintenance of an internal self-service web portal and all related back office business applications and databases. The ideal candidate is a well rounded professional with various web and application development skills with strengths in designing diverse web applications. The position requires at least five years of advanced web development experience.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

This position does not have any direct reports.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Understand technical and functional design requirements.

  • Assist in physical and logical database design.

  • Assist in the design and development of related backend business applications.

  • Identify system deficiencies and recommend solutions.

  • Accurately estimate project development timelines.

  • Build websites using technologies that conform to international standards and ensure that they are universally accessible.

  • Work in a project-based environment, responding to tasks based on priorities and deadline expectations

  • Actively and enthusiastically participate with a team of qualified professionals.

OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor degree in computer science or other discipline related to the major responsibilities and two to four years of experience in web design.

  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience with cross-browser and cross-platform issues (IE, Firefox, Safari, etc.)

  • Superior knowledge of current web-design trends and techniques.

  • Highly proficient in C# , ASP.NET, CSS, and AJAX,

  • Proficient with SQL, stored procedures, and query optimization

  • Attention to detail, customer-service orientation, excellent writing/communications skills and creativity in problem solving.

REQUIRED

  • Must have excellent analytical, communication, organizational and work management skills.

  • Must have excellent debugging and testing skills.

  • Must be self-motivated and works well without supervision.

  • Must work well in a team environment.

PREFERRED

  • Experience with desktop publishing applications preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Light physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials.

  • Regularly required to sit or stand, bend and reach.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Will work in an office setting and will be assigned an office or cubicle.

  • The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to shock.

  • Exposed to any number of elements but with none present to the extent of being disagreeable.
