Kelly Services Payroll/Accounts Payable Processor in Hayward, California

Desirable personal characteristics include reliability, dependability. Must be able to do accurate work and perform within established deadlines. Familiarity with construction processes and terminology is desirable.

Payroll-Required: Ability, experience and expertise to process payroll for mid-size construction company with approximately 50-125 employees. Familiarity with accounting for union payrolls and benefit contribution reporting. Capable of learning to use existing computer software, as well as proficiency with Excel, QuickBooks. Experience with payroll service provider Paychex is desirable.

Specific duties include, but not limited to:

  • Process timecards and run job cost reports on a daily basis.

  • Process new hires and required documentation, paperwork.

  • Maintain employee personnel files.

  • Process payroll on a weekly basis.

  • Report certified payrolls through online reporting: LCP Tracker, Elations. Others.

  • Complete union benefits contribution reports on a monthly basis.

  • Participate in year-end reporting.

Accounts Payable

Required: Ability, experience and expertise to process accounts payable for a mid-size construction company. Workload varies but will consist of processing approximately 100-200 invoices per month.

Specific duties include, but not limited to:

  • Match invoices with PO and receiver, where necessary. Obtain authorizations where required.

  • Review invoices for accuracy and validity.

  • Account coding for all invoices and payments.

  • Perform data entry using existing AP software.

  • Execute scheduled check runs. Process manual checks when required.

  • Maintain paid invoice files. Maintain AP sub ledgers and reports.

  • Balance monthly vendor statements.
