Qualifications: IT working experience and technical training or certification equivalent.Ã¢
Job description: Onsite and remote support of clients technical needs.Ã¢ Administration and monitoring of client servers, workstations, applications and related networking components, a good understanding of PC troubleshooting is required as well.Ã¢ Candidate must have a car to commute to client sites.
Technical requirements include:
· PC component installation, configuration, and troubleshooting \ Virus Removal
· Microsoft Windows Server and Client operating systems
· Help Desk support and knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7 and Windows 8
· Solid understanding of LAN/Ã¢WAN topology, network protocols switches, and firewalls
- Microsoft Certification preferred but not mandatory. CompTIA A+ and \ or Network + required
We're seeking a flexible technician who can handle him/herself in a professional manner when dealing with clients face to face or over the phone and has strong troubleshooting skills. With opportunities to move up from within, we are looking for a candidate with strong work ethic and drive to learn and grow.
Remotely support clients with issues from our office
Travel onsite to client offices for hands on troubleshooting of issues in the Northern / Central Jersey Area
Take part in client projects, both remote and onsite, in a support role with our project team
Assist the help desk team by monitoring and assessing client networks and hardware for potential issues
Network and computer hardware preparation and installation
Knowledge of PC and Server hardware
Server (Primarily 2008(R2) and 2012(R2), but 2016 also helpful) and Workstation (7, 8, 10) OS knowledge
Flexibility in supporting many line of business applications
Virus/Malware/Ransomware removal and prevention
Basic understanding of cybersecurity
Strong Troubleshooting Skills
Solid networking and security skills
Ability to work in a fast paced environment while dealing with multiples issues simultaneously
Solid background knowledge in current networking, hardware, and software technologies, concepts, and protocols.
Customer service or related background is a plus.
Additional Skills we look for (not required):
Apple/Mac knowledge and certifications
Certification or experience in SonicWALL firewalls
