Kelly Services is hiring Site Coordinators / Insurance Benefits Verification Specialists for a medical company headquartered in Fort Mill, South Carolina!

Prior claims or insurance experience is not required!

All work is Monday-Friday

This is a great long-term opportunity, with the potential to be hired direct.

Job involves making outbound calls to customers regarding verification of benefits—gathering information, documenting it in the system, and following up to gather additional data if necessary. You will work between insurance companies, physician offices and consumers to verify and update prescription and medical coverage.

  • This is a temp to hire opportunity at the company’s HQ in Fort Mill, a company named “a “best place to work in South Carolina”

  • All work is Monday-Friday, a 10-hour shift between 8am and 9pm (average 45 hours per week).

  • Starts with 12 weeks of training, Monday-Friday 9am to 5pm -- classroom setting including trainer-led instruction, hands-on, computer-based training and job shadowing.

  • Average 45 hours per week (10-hour shift with 1 hour for lunch)

  • $16/hour

  • Paid weekly

Requirements:

  • Call center or telephone customer service experience

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Outlook, Word & Excel – basic skills

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under close supervision of the project Team Coordinators / Management team, the Site Coordinators are dedicated to each practice and are the single points of contact for each office. Site Coordinators are typically aligned to manufacturer sales regions and will be responsible for quality review of completed verification of benefits.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Verify benefits for all new and existing clients

  • Verify insurance benefits for all sites primarily via direct phone contact, payer websites, payer IVR systems

  • Identify billing requirements at time of verification (ie: referrals, prior authorizations, etc) and specific instructions/nuances for obtaining a referral or prior authorization

  • Follow up with credentialing to ensure provider network participation

  • Pull multiple reports daily/weekly to identify clients that need insurance verification or follow-up

  • Initiate process to add new payers in Payer Surveillance system

  • Fosters relationships with physician office staff

  • Builds partnerships with sales force

  • Establishes themselves as regional experts regarding payer trends

  • Assist with coverage research and benefit verification as well as financial qualification analysis

  • Billing and coding support

  • Claims tracking

  • Prior authorization assistance

  • Conduct quality review of final product

Required:

  • Windows-based experience including fundamentals of data entry/typing

  • Working knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel

  • Interpersonal skills and professionalism

  • Independent problem solver, good decision making, and robust analytical skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Effective written and verbal communication

Preferred:

  • Specific experience in medical office administration, benefit verification, coding, claims processing or customer service at an insurance company a plus

  • Familiarity with verification of insurance benefits a plus

  • Fundamental understanding of key payers including Medicaid, Medicare and private payers

  • Strong customer service experience
